Comprehensive Eye Exams

Comprehensive Eye Exams

We strive to provide excellent, comprehensive eye examinations for all ages. Even with 20/20 vision and no symptoms, there may be eye conditions that are present, that would only be detected with a comprehensive eye examination. Early detection and treatment is key to maintaining good vision. The American Optometric Association recommends getting a comprehensive eye examination annually or every other year based on a variety of factors including your heath and past exam results.

We do comprehensive testing of your vision and eye function, including movement and response to light. We test your eye health, including testing for various eye diseases, such as glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration. An eye examination can also be a gateway to discovering underlying systemic conditions as well, and we will communicate with your primary care physician in those circumstances.

Children’s Eye Exams

Children should be examined yearly, as early as 6 months years old. Children may not know how to communicate to others that they have vision problems, so it is essential that they are examined regularly. Studies show that debilitating conditions, such as a lazy eye, are preventable when caught at a young age. If these conditions are not caught at an early age, this can result in permanent decreased vision. Book your child’s eye exam today and ask about OHIP coverage.
